Thank you from the Global Services Team!

At the start of the New Year, I’d like to thank all of our clients for your putting your trust in Global Services for your GSA Schedule and Proposal Management needs. Last year was one of our busiest and most successful yet, and we have you to thank for it. In this post, I’d like to take a look at some of the highlights of our 2018, and give a preview of the year to come.

Looking Back on 2018:

ChallengeHER

I was honored to be able support the ChallengeHER initiative across the country in 2018. ChallengeHER, launched in 2013 by Women Impacting Public Policy (WIPP), American Express OPEN, and the Small Business Administration, works to boost federal contracting opportunities for Woman Owned Small Businesses (WOSBs). It was my pleasure to speak in workshops in Austin, TX; Arlington, VA; Oceanside, CA; Miami, FL; and Washington, DC.

Becoming a Certified WBE and WOSB

In 2018, Global Services was certified as a Women’s Business Enterprise (WBE) by the Women’s Enterprise Business Council (WBENC), the largest third-party certification body in the US. In January 2019, our status as a Woman Owned Small Business (WOSB) was approved by the Small Business Administration (SBA).

Guiding Clients through Major Proposals

In 2018, we supported 20+ companies with their SeaPort Next Generation (SeaPort NxG) submissions through targeted educational webinars. We managed 15 GSA OASIS Small Business submissions and 35+ other large-scale procurement efforts. Looking ahead, we’re gearing up for the upcoming GSA Unrestricted OASIS On-Ramp and the much-discussed 8(a) sub-track.

Looking Forward to 2019:

Moving Forward

At the start of February, we will be moving our offices to a new space better suited to our needs. Our new office space locates us even closer to the heart of the Washington, DC federal contracting community, and provides us with the flexibility we need as our company continues to grow. We’ve planned our move carefully to ensure no disruption to our customers—the only change for you will be our address! Beginning February 8, we will be located at the following address:

Global Services
80 M Street, SE, 1st Floor
Washington, DC 20003

Proposal Management Products

Last year, we introduced Proposal Management Products designed for customers managing their proposals in-house who want specific types of outside support, such as proposal outline development and compliance reviews. These new offerings have been a success, allowing for new ways of meeting our clients’ needs, and we will continue to provide these uniquely tailored product solutions in 2019. Of course, for customers who prefer complete and comprehensive Proposal Management Services, including Monthly Support plans, we will continue to provide them as always! Lastly, we will be incorporating more training, webinars, and professional development to ensure each and every contractor is ready for the new year.

Meeting the Challenges of a Changing GSA Schedules Program

As we discussed in this post, the GSA Schedules are entering a period of major overhaul as GSA consolidates all of the various Schedules—such as IT Schedule 70, the Professional Services Schedule, etc.—into one overarching Schedule. While this is a positive change for GSA and the federal contracting community, the transition period will create new challenges and uncertainties for current and prospective GSA Schedule holders. Global Services continues our commitment to guiding our clients through the GSA Schedule process. To that end, I will be joining Judy Bradt of Summit Insight to offer a free webinar about the Schedules overhaul on Wednesday, January 23, 2019 from 2:00 PM – 3:00 PM EST.

Here’s to an excellent 2019!
